DS twilight years, so whats left??

So after what strangely doesn't feel that long the ds is reaching that time in it's life where theres probably ony a couple of years left tops before Nintendo pulls the plug & fully moves onto 3DS.

After looking on play asia's preorder list i can't see much more this year that im after, only 2 that have interested me are onepiece gigant battle 2 & pokemon typing black keyboard version seeing as i missed out on the white keyboard release. Im finding as people move on they are selling off their DS collections so it's a great time to pick up all those titles i missed, as they get rid i have been adding them to my collection where they will be played & cherished & live out their lives in my library hehe. As the schedule dries up im finding im now going backwards through the years, i have discovered so many games i never even knew were released. Im also discovering how so many more titles had stupid low printruns.

Im curious whats left from Nintendo as Atsumete Kirby is the last one they released, wonder if that will be it? So what are people still looking forward to on the release schedules?

To be honest I don't think I have looked forward to a DS release for years now. The last one was possibily that Warioware one where you can make your own mini games, and when I finally got it, I didn't enjoy it :-(

I have a lot of DS games I'd like to buy but right now the only two preorders I have are Kirby and Solatorobo (US version). What keeps me from buying the games I want is that they are in Japanese and I don't know how much enjoyment I can really get from them, as they tend to be not much import friendly (like Kumantachi).

The sidescroller? Dunno, I'll see how it turns out and what the forumites have to say about it. It can be a great thing or a plain, boring sidescroller that just gets honors for its license.

I think we've got at least three Professor Layton games to come yet... they're taking their sweet time on the translations.

Metal Slug 7 and Chrono Trigger for me. Nothing else since...

We're certainly entering a sweet spot for picking up past games for a decent price but looking foward next year seems to be effectively the DS's last. Personally, it's for the best too as overall Nintendo really need it out the way to stop the DS/3DS confusion

I'm really enjoying Grid DS. Quite a large game and challenging (unlike a lot of DS stuff).

Kirby Mass Attack (Atsumete) review is on the way.

Not much at all left for the DS now, Kirby and Layton is about it.

Japanese developers have moved on to PSP and 3DS, Western developers for the most part haven't seen the DS as anything more than a platform for shovelware for a while

There's still the odd gap here and there in my collection I want to fill, but in terms of new'uns I think Layton is about as far as it goes for me. That new Aliens game does look interesting though! I would be all over a Gyakuten Kenji 2 localisation too (I STILL BELIEVE!).

We're never going to get Ni No Kuni in English, are we?

Seems incredibly unlikely at this point.

May get the PS3 one though.
