    Halo 4

Well, here we go. After the initial announcement at E3 MS seems keen to begin the build up to next years release which is still pegged for Xbox 360 rather than any potential new system.

To begin with the new design of Warthog will be viewable in Forza 4 which Cortana will describe information to the player about:

The Warthog vehicle design to be used in Halo 4 is buried deep within upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive racing game Forza 4.

Secondly, 343 Studios has revealed that Halo 4, 5 and 6 will make up the Reclaimer Trilogy which will be more focused on the Forerunners. Amongst the long run of discussion in the link below is confirmation that Halo Anniversary will no include Beta access to Halo 4.

343 Industries has revealed the first details on Halo 4, due out in 2012 on the Xbox 360.

If Halo 4 is for 360 then no doubt we can look forward to a HHD3D version in the next few years to tie in with the full trilogy.

I don't want to say they confirmed this because they didn't but they hinted at Halo 2 HD in a panel during PAX.

If they can make money out of it i'm sure they will do it.

At this rate they probably should do Halo 2 HD as beyond Witcher 2 and Halo 4 the 360 needs console exclusives badly in 2012

Another Ouch for the day. The Creative Director for Halo 4 has quit stating his reasons for leaving being that Halo 4 has become a 'crazy endeavor' that doesn't creatively excite him. He's been there for a few years so it's fair enough but no doubt 343 will wish he wasn't so vocal.

That was some nice daily mail style selective quoting! Maybe you should become a spin doctor!

"The Halo I wanted to build was fundamentally different and I don't think I had built enough credibility to see such a crazy endeavour through."

Sounds like we won't be getting any significant changes to the Halo formula from that sentence. Sounds like he was fighting for changes and couldn't manage it.

Looks like they are going with the tried and tested engine used by the previous games, but with another big raft of improvements (that's DOF going on there)
Hopefully they will of implemented one of these funky new AA solutions that other games have recently started using and we can be banished of the Jaggies that have taken away from othereise lovely visuals in previous games.

No radical design changes to the Chief there and keeping in line with the style of the previous games, that's a good thing. I was fearing the worse after playing the Remake.

I'll be interested to see what 343 have pulled out with all the Technolgy heavy hitters that they pulled in for this title, Corrinne Yu tweeted that this is the best looking game that she or any of the team has worked on (Xbox/PS3/Wii)

haven't enjoyed a Halo game since the first, but im interested in this fresh take (hopefully) of the series. Hopefully the campaign will have as much thought put into it as the online modes.
