He was sued for it, but he won the case. But as is often the case, once you're accused of it people never look at you the same again even if it is proven to be completely baseless.

Without spurring a debate on it, I've found the DOA series to be quite solid despite not being as high tier as VF. I don't think it's had a stumbling point like most of the other series have so I'm not worried about DOA5, Dimensions was post firing too and was quite good. NG wise I'm unsure if they'll pull it off as much. Always felt NG was well done but overrated a bit, NG2 was decent but not as good. I'd say it's better than DMC4 though (not Bayonetta)

Infact, DMC IV and Bayonetta even in the same sentence? Please.

Itagaki is actually unmissable for Team Ninja. I thought NG2 was overrated at first, but after playing Sigma 2 its apparent that NG needs Itagaki. Hayashi's Team Ninja had NG2 on Xbox for reference, and (as I suspected right away and Itagaki later confirmed) NG2 was unfinished and rushed out due to internal problems. Yet Hayashi still messed up with Sigma 2, its much worse than vanilla NG2.
One could also argue that Sigma 1 was worse than NGB, which I think is the case. If Hayashi can't even beat an existing unfinished product, let alone what he will do with NG3. And so far, NG3 looks like generic ****. Thats why i'm cautious with DoA 5. I think that as far as DoA goes, part 4 was really well done.
Itagaki had its **** game (DoAX2), but his NGB, NG2 are MUCH better than the Sigmas.

I'd have lapped it up maybe if I was a kid again and it was the only game I had for a while, much like the NES version. It's by far the best of a bad bunch.

The entire DOA cast (male as well as female) could really have done with a redesign for the fourth game, as the anime-influenced style that served so well on the Dreamcast didn't really let Team Ninja fully take advantage of the current crop of consoles. Are there any close-ups of the male fighters out there? That'll be the acid test for how the new approach works, really.
