    Hatsune Miku Series

Figured it's better to have a thread covering the whole series rather than individual titles as it keeps it easier to follow considering the niche appeal.

I've been catching up with Sega's games and it seems just in time as a new wave is due in the coming months

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd Extend
    Format: PSP - November 2011
An expanded version of the second game which includes remixes and some of the tracks from the first game in the series

    Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Arcade
    Format: Arcade - 2012

    Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai
    Format: 3DS - March 2012
Features and songs from Diva 1 and 2 with a simpler timing system, super deformed art style and AR support to project Miku into 3D live concerts via the camera

I could only play the PSP game with the sound OFF! Series wasted on me then

I usually like 'sweet' things, but I couldn't abare the game I played.

Insane. There are some awesome songs in the PSP game!

I love DJ Max, but this one isn't for me.

Might be, but I too, don't particularly like Miku's voice. I like the character, but I can barely stand her voice.

I kind of prefer these to DJ Max now, Max seems to regularly feature flimsy tracklists these days and is getting a little too focused on long standing players for my liking. Diva throws catchy tunes and quick bum shaking shots to distract the player whilst on a busy bus

It seems weird to me that they are releasing a Greatest Hits version of Project Diva 2nd a month after Extend came out. Since I've only got the first game, I put off getting Extend so I could get the bargain edition of 2nd. Probably means I'll get Extend when the bargain edition of that comes out.

So far from what I've played Extend is very much a song pack for 2. There's no real gameplay differences. My fave holds as Diva 2 overall I think, seems to have the best track list and tightens up the engine a lot.

Yeah, I'd read that Extend was basically just a lot of different songs, but not quite the 2.5 it was originally named as. I assume there's also a Vita game in the making...

Fully expecting one, should be easy for them to have a Project Diva 3 ready for it by end of next year as they'll likely use the assets from the PS3 Dreamy Theatre releases
