Is there actually any evidence that the Ass Creed 2 ones, for example, *were* deliberately cut to turn into DLC, or did they just have a DLC plan to start with and chose that as a framing device?
It's hardly ever as cut and dried as someone saying 'hey, lets chop bits out of the game to sell!'. There are several scenarios that might occur such as 'this bit isn't going to make the deadline, so chop it'. (In the past if that happened you probably never even knew it happened, unless you're sloppy doing it like say, Wind Waker...)
