PTE 15: Playstation Vita

I barely use my PSP or DS and, although the launch line up appears quite strong, most of the games seem to be ports of stuff we've all played before; because of that I don't think it'll be worth the launch price outlay for me. I will get one at some point, either after the first price drop or when there's a title that tempts me enough to part with the cash (that still hasn't happened with the 3DS).

Import WiFi model for sure. Was impressed with the Vita before and now having played Uncharted, LBP and Wipeout on it im more convinced then ever. Lovely well thought out system, quality games, reasonable price (considering the tech), Remote play and I can use it as a PS3 controller.

Whats not to love?

Really love the machine from a technical and aesthetic point and hope it does well but there isn't a single launch title that i'm interested in and i'm hoping that a revised model is launched further down the line with an improved battery life (built in) in which case by that time the price will have dropped and some quality titles will be available.

Where would be a good place to get a JP launch wifi model. Play Asia dont appear to ship to the uk.

As close to JPN Day One as the importers will allow due to the, obvious, stock issues.

Uncharted, WipEout, Minna no Golf, Ridge Racer are all reasons on their own for me to buy the console so when I think all 4 are due shortly makes my head explode!!

I'm proper excited about the prospect of this console - same as I was back when the first PSP was launched. I waited for the US release and actually ordered over the phone with VGP because I didn't have access to their website as I was at work.

I've gotten to the stage where I have realised that, after worrying about somebody else for so long, that I should be able to treat myself without feeling guilty or without considering what else the money should be spent on.

I am going to wait I think - I love the PSP and still have a number of games I would like to play through on that first, plus the 3DS has a number of games over the next 6 months that I am really interested in, so I cannot really justify another handheld at the moment.

Still, I know now that if I get the opportunity to import one close to launch I probably will do anyway despite what I have just written!

I've got zero interest in the Vita at present. I also find the 3G model pointless if you can enable a wi-fi hotspot on your mobile phone. Therefore, you can connect via wi-fi and still play anywhere on the go.
