GBC Mr.Driller works perfect on the Gameboy emulator, with that; Pac-Attack, GB Tetris, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Harvest Moon and Super Mario Bros on my 128mmc as well as a couple of Family Guy episodes and a load of Mp3's what more could you want for those boring moments at work

That cool, all that on 128

What did you use to convert family guy, and how big are they like 20mb each?

Helix Produce Plus 9. Episode of Family Guy takes up about 12mb, just converted Freddy vs Jason, only 54mb!!! Average music video is about 1.5 to 2.5 mb.

that is at horrible compression tho isnt it. Most films are barrley watchable @ 120mb. I did a eppisode of futurama in 15mb and it was 15fps, u could almost watch it but still was very poor.

It's now being claimed that it's meant to be used as a hands free phone. If you take this into account then it's fine. Now what excuse are they going to make for the layout of the screen and the lack of worthy games and the way you have to fiddle with the thing to change the games?

But the relatively average GP32 can do all this and more for half the price....

A quick reply from a happy ngage user!

                    1) Its a **** phone - p800 + p900 much better Symbian based phones.
Well these are about ?400 sim free. and for games there is not a pad in sight! And I expect the P900 to be even more..(though it does look very nice!)

                    2) Its a **** games machine. There are actually much better Symbian based games that are either free or very cheap. so as a games phone its no better than others (mapping the keys doesnt work in many symbian based games as nokia are using older compile) as a games machine its very poor. The launch games are poor and the future looks even poorer.

Its actually the best games phone for exactly the reason that existing symbian/java games can be played properly..and I can see nothing wrong with Tomb raider.. its alot of fun.. and for me plays just like the PS version but in the palm of my hand..as to control.. all the java/symbian games I have tried have mapped to the pad controller by default!

                    3) Mp3 playback and video support are much worse than third party apps on p800, the screen is too small and the wrong aspect so again other phones do it much better.

The Mp3 player is very good.. and you have the built in speaker which considerig the size belts out a good quality sound. Sounds better than my palm based mp3 player! Real Media also looks good in encoded correctly.. the screen is small but its a very good clear quality one..I have so far tried out movie trailers..very very good results..(and the conversion process is easier than the messing about I have to do on the palm pilot.)

                    4) Ive not tried, but apparently the new opera doesnt work on it, so again the best web site viewer that works on p800 is lost.

Funny my 6.1 Opera works fine..and again the ngage is the best nokia symbian phone to run it on (besides the 6600) as it had 16MB of internal Ram (+ 4MB internal storage) so you should not get the dreaded memory errors thats users of the 3650 have found. I use opera and the email client all the time.. very handy - esp on my contract where my free minutes can be used on data calls.

I have not found anything I dislike about it yet.. the card changing thing has not bothered me as I have everything at the mo on the one card. For movies I'll get a bigger one.. but as I use it mostly on the train journeys its no different to changing over my SD cards on my palm.. I am sure in the next year there will be a updated model.. like mobile phones in general..but if you are smart you can get one (if u want it) for next to nothing anyhow

                        - Few decent games available

                        - Poor screen ratio
                        - Vague controls
                        - A phone function that makes you look like a complete gimp
                        - A whole list of functions that mean nothing to anybody?"

im getting convinced about the ngage - if it becomes cheap enough ill probably buy one just for fiddeling. I mean even if the games arnt plentiful ive never played: tomb raider, tony hawks or SMB so they will be new titles for me.

that and the media functions it can do - itll be like a portable xbox, i just hope some decent media players come out for it.

But all the games mentioned are poor imitations of the originals!

Dont ruin the magic of say Super Monkeyball buy playing the piss poor version on n-gage, heck even the gba version is better.
