It's a timing game isn't it? So rather than constant adjustments, it's about about what moment and speed to to initiate drift. Whereas sega rally is about constant adjustment mid-drift.

I'd say the same applies here with the mid-drift adjustment given when to gear change and how to apply gas, but yeah, easing of the brakes and gas is certainly emphasised as the main ethos of cornering in Sega Rally.
