Before people cancel preorders and whatnot, give it a few hours - I'm seeing conflicting reports online that the UK version is not censored.

EDIT: OK, so seems those sources were wrong Everyone is now reporting that Ubi PR has censored the UK one too. I'll be pre-ordering the US PS3 version as well, if only out of principle. Anyone know the best place?

What was the point in giving it an 18 rating if it was just censored regardless, looks like Ubisoft just lost a uk sale from me.

I was assured this was a thing of the past and it was fine for me to buy a Euro Xbox 360. (I bought the US version).

Sorry, I'll stop being smug. I know the same thing happens in reverse as well, the only real winners are the people with access to all regions.

If it's an ubi soft game the USA 360 version should be region free.

BT.com reported on a note sent to press alongside copies of the game that revealed the changes, which amount to seven scenes of about 20 seconds each.

According to the document, which Eurogamer has verified, the censored scenes include:

A mini-game in which the doctor is performing an abortion on the player.
A mini-game in which the player is performing an abortion on the character Randy.
Five anal probing scenes involving someone actively being probed. The scenes play out as normal before and after the active probing sequences.
Each censored scene is replaced by an image background and a description text selected by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Ubisoft said.

So, it's MORE Stone and Parker goodness. Not sure I'd want to see anal rapage more tbh.

Yeh I'm sure those scenes don't matter in the scheme of things but it's a matter of principle that we should import .

The show is censored, so why not the game? I'd want it to be just like the show myself.

Not if you watch it on Netflix, online or (presumably) on DVD/blu-ray it's not...

Well i went ahead & ordered the US PS3 version, i won't support any region that pulls **** like that. Same way i refused to buy the Wii version of no more heroes from Japan as the game was totally ruined by the censorship. If the game is an 18 then i expect it to be left intact, im curious to know which pussy ass country in the EU had such a problem that the rest of europe got shafted as Ubisoft went into self-censor mode.

People say the the dark days of importing are over & not needed anymore, err i prefer my games to be played the way they were intended. They might as well give the wartered down game a 15 rating in the uk
