for the multiplayer (well, arena type gameplay) yeah. For the Pokemon inspired story game, no.

For me Hudson Soft meant Bomberman, particularly on the SNES. I like the cute lil bee logo too.

I wonder if they will ever do except for remakes and more casual games. If they are planning for shooters I hope they outsource them to competent studios, but I guess it will all boil down on how much Hudson's IPs are popular nowadays.

Sad to see a big name go. Maybe should dig out the PC Engine again in tribute. Have they done much recently anyway? As far as I can recall there is just Star Soldier PSP and Kororinpa on the Wii this gen. Kororinpa was so ace though.

All the recent Tetris games were from Hudson.

Considering the power and pull they had when the bought the PC Engine out, they've fallen very far. I thought they were getting on ok with their smaller production and handheld titles mincing Bomberman to death. Sad times, spent a lot of time with their games.

Hudson died during the end of the Saturn age. Their last real good game was VIRUS, which was a cyber future adventure a bit like Snatcher but in cyber space. Fantastic game with amazing visuals and atmosphere. sadly it never left Japan and to this day remains a Saturn exclusive. As for Bomberman, well, that got tired after Saturn Hi-Ten Bomberman. that is the ultimate version of the game. Anything after it isn't worth bothering with.

Seems like a good time to pimp my own work. Hudson also brought us a series of interesting Mario games.
