No doubt Ikobo will self combust if/when he gets this, with his ongoing Neo Geo buy/sell relationship!

For soething like this I'd expect them to handle it much like a proper handheld with weekly releases and not mess about like they do on other formats. I wouldn't want to own one and have to wait 2-3 years for them to get around to the worthwhile games. SNK rereleases always prioritise the wrong releases. Yes KOF95, MS2 and X, Showdown 2 and 3 are great games but I don't need a bazillionth version of them, gimme the less commonly rereleased stuff.

Although I know where you're coming from, it'd be nice to not hack and invalidate the warranty of your brand new Vita and be able to legally play these games on a device that plays them perfectly because that's its sole purpose.
I hope they release the collection 1 from the PS2 and 0 from the PSP. Is Search & Rescue on either of those? That's one scary game!

I wouldn't really trust this to run games 'perfectly', it would need a screen that runs 320?224 natively but they ain't going to do that - so we're guaranteed scaling of some kind - and when it comes to that I'm sure home-brew emulation would trump it as there are always a ton of scalers to select from. Let's see anyway, I want this to be **** hot.
Multiplayer? How is that being tackled?

If you are allowed to use these games (That you OWN and have paid for) on another device depends on which country you live in, but even on PSP, if you move the UMD to Memory Card, you have a fantastic solution. I picked these games up used for ?15 each, as well as loads of other arcade collections on my PSP.
It seems to me that this would be a cheaper way to go! Even if you need a PSP it will cost about ?120 max for all of the above. Load times from memory card are very fast too.
