    Eh?

If you install a game don't you still need the physical copy of it in your vita while you play?

Exactly, I'd have thought it would work like installing games on a 360 where you still need the original for the security check on boot up

Again, what exactly is it that makes this not possible? Elaborate plx.

"Installation" is just an icon to start the game. Nothing more.
          Kept you waiting, huh?

What's the point of installing then? Surely it installs the actual game data.

It's for synching it to your psn trophy account

Is it just the memory card thing that's a problem, or are there other issues?

The demo unit i played had wipeout and uncharted on the memory card, as far as I was aware there was nothing else inserted in the unit,
im sure its possible if you had a few grand for all the memory cards.

anyway further research is required, everyone quiz their local game, or at least study the unit much more than I did before making these posts

Those games were downloaded from the PSN, at a cost of about ?40 each. Surely you don't think you can put in a cartridge, copy it to the memory card and then sell on the game? I would hazard a guess that having owned a Vita since December 18th, I need no further research as I make this post.

That's the only issue I have come across so far. It is quite a crippling one however. Hopefully sorted out via a firmware update.

Maybe that was just because it was a demo model? Were they even the full versions of the games?

Just read 1.60 brings maps, video recording and... I've forgotten what else. Am on phone so can't elaborate right now.

I've got one pre-ordered against my better judgement. I'm still of the belief that a hand held device needs to offer a unique experience not found on a home console and the Vita appears to be making the same mistakes of the PSP in that regard - IE it sits a little too closely to being a home console on a 5" screen. I'm hoping Sony figure out how to push the Vita as a unique device but I can't see how they can really given the direction they have gone in with the hardware. They will have to cough up yet more new IP's but in all probability those new IP's will have limited impact on the market penetration of a current hand held device and will end up on the PS3 down the line anyway.

I never planned to put it into action, i was just curious & making a gag, since the staff didn't really know if such measures would be in place.

Also good point rmoxon, they were prob demo's from psn

Anyway, good hardware, will pick one up sometime
