The game is 12 years old, and it still looks bloody great.

          New Details Revealed From Sega

According to Sega the game will run in full screen rather than windowed like the previous DC rereleases. The in game camera has been mapped to the right analogue stick however the online functionality for tag sharing has been removed. Sega has secured 70% of the games original soundtrack for the rerelease and is still in discussions to regain as much of the remaining soundtrack as possible. The HD version will also include the extra levels added for the US release.

We just need 100% of the japanese soundtrack, the extra western song were nothing special anyway.

Perhaps they should have thought of that before making this port?

I will be very sad if they don't include all the tracks!

Surely it will have a custom soundtrack option?

And in fairness, a port with 70% of the tracks is better than no port at all (or a port with completely different tracks).

I reckon 70% of the soundtrack is basically the Deavid Soul stuff. If that's the case, then stuff like Miller Ball Breakers is in so I'll be happy. I expect the Richard Jaques song is in(did he do more than one?). I know the first teaser had Funky Radio so I assume that's in, and I think the other one had Sweet Soul Brother?

Nevermind. I forgot different stages have their unique songs to them (it's been so long!). So custom soundtrack is definitely a no go.

Still, 70% should mean all the Hideki Naganuma and Deavid Soul music is in.

                      Here's the soundtrack in full:

Hopefully it's just 23 to 30 that's currently the deal breaker.

According to Joystiq the Daevid Soul tracks are out unfortunately. They really should try to get these in, I can do without most of the other tracks that didn't make it (except Improvise) but these tracks really are an integral part of the game to me.

One of the Soul tracks pretty much made the game complete for me, Miller Ball Breakers I think. That's like a film changing soundtracks when it's remastered, you get people hunting down 20 year old releases just for the music they remember.

*Sighs. Without Daevid Soul, a massive part of the feel is missing. Miller Ball Breakers is utterly amazing.

                                360 custom soundtracks are rubbish.
