I played some Sega Extreme Sports last night but cant for the life of me get the hang off the hangliding sections. I always fall behind despite a huge lead from the snowboarding section and can never find the right place to land?

A 4 player mode would have been good though.

Last night I had enough time to sort through all my discs and line up what's remaining. I'm now on the last stack but it's good stuff.

First up was 18 Wheeler, always found the game to be fairly light on replayability as there wasn't enough to it and it's still the same. Looking rougher than most Sega DC games too. It was okay for a bit but soon done with.

Now I'm on the greatest, the original, Crazy Taxi

Stunning game. This thread has inspired me to check out D2, as I've never played it before. When are you going to play the Shenmue games?!

They're in the last stack that I've got remaining, in order to crack through everything I've been putting the longer titles to the bottom of the pile. There's a handful of fighters and arcade games to go and then I should be on them

Went back to play some Jet Grind Radio the other night. Seriously can't believe this took just over a year to make! also, best soundtrack for a game ever, surely? so many awesome tracks. I actually just went to the radio in options and played through the tracks as I was tidying.

            Edit:

Just seen there's a GBA version of Jet Set Radio. Is it any good?

he he. Is Tokyo Bus Driver worth picking up? - certainly is up there with Seaman as one of the more bizarre sounding games released on the DC.

I tried TBD on the DC. I much prefer the PS2 version(two more buttons for a start) but I didn't play the DC one for long...

I had the GBA Jet Set Radio back in the day, it isn't too bad considering the amount of concessions made to make it fit on the GBA. Doesn't hold a candle to JSR or JSRF but not too shabby.

Mark of a good title if ever there was one. Thank God it's being re-released on PSN/XBox LIVE soon. Fingers crossed it's a worthy conversion.

Shame I don't have my JAP Dreamcast anymore. Hope the friend I sold it to is still looking after it well...

For me, Tokyo Bus Driver works better on the DC thanks to the Dreamcast controller and the triggers which are perfect for the subtlety you need to control the bus. Like I said, one of my favourite games ever and while not the longest, it will make you come back to perfect your runs.

Last night was something of an arcade run.

                      Crazy Taxi
Did so poorly at it, once upon a time I had this game nailed. That said, it's still amazing how nuanced it is with every attempt yeilding a higher score.

                      Crazy Taxi 2
Away from the hype of release and in hindsight it's not as bad as I remember it being. Missing some visual character but generally a decent follow up.

                      Capcom vs SNK 2
Still looks decent and plays alright, same as it ever was really

                      Cannon Spike
Easy to whip through as its epically short but it's still fun as hell and would warrant an XBL/PSN rerelease

                      Capcom vs SNK
The original, and always in my view, the better of the two Capcom crossover titles.

Next up is Vampire Chronicles. Hoping to get quite a dent into the outstanding DC titles this weekend

I know what you mean about the original Capcom vs. Snk as it has a certain charm but overall I always find myself coming back to Capcom vs SNK 2. Maybe it's cos it is the game that everyone was playing in the arcades when I moved here in 2002 but the game just seems better balanced that the first.

Capcom vs SNK was far better than the follow up. The gameplay was more balanced and had better focus. Too many characters, rubbish backgrounds and too many needless fighting styles in the second game.

I agree with the above and for me CvS Pro was the best version of the game, with the speed options. The stages and music were great.

Any fans of Sports Jam here? That game was fun in short bursts.

Good point about the triggers. I think on PS2 you use X and it's pressure sensitive. It's quite cheap on eBay so going to pick it up. Looks better on PS2 but I'd have to bring my PS2 to the flat which I don't feel like doing yet!

Nah I think CvS2 is better. The first had 2d background which I liked more but I hated the Ratio system. The second had a few good ISM's. Its just too bad about the 3d stages and god awful music.

With Power Stone I think its the other way around. The second had 4 player mode and that worked for party play, but the first game was just a beautiful flowing fighting game. PS1 is absolutely the better game for me.
