Personally I would have prefered a SOTN type game myself, there still hasn't really been a true sequel to that, not that it would be easy to better it. The DS games were ok, but not in the same league/

The amount of times I've completed SOTN is crazy, playing it again on my vita
Would love to have a sequel running in 2D 1080p and some wicked animation oh and a superb 5.1 surround sound track is this too much to ask? Until then I'll go with the 3ds version

Have you played all the DS and GBA games?, because most of them are fantastic, they are not quite as good as SOTN(very few games are), but I would say they are certainly in the same league. Order of Excelcia in particular was a brilliant game. Quite challenging too in places.

                Just played this demo.

Walked 10 paces, ran into the first 3 enemies - died. Played again, got to the same enemies - died. Played again got past those enemies, walked another 10 paces and ran into a knight - died. Fought the knight again - died. fought the knight again -died

Switched it off and deleted the demo

I played it earlier. Didn't seem to die as much as you but thought it was pretty awful. It's like it doesn't know whether it's a Castlevania game, God of War game or what exactly. Backgrounds look pretty nice but characters are muddy and pixely. Music is godawful. Gameplay just seems really dull and patchy. Wasn't impressed at all.

I thought it was pretty good. I found it a good challenge. Music/sound is superb and there was some good 3d as well. Graphically, okish.

Like I mentioned earlier I won't judge by a demo I'll play the final release to make my mind up

Ugh. Disgusting western frame rate. Looks pretty nice and the 3d is great. Control of the character is pretty bad, especially in the
air. God I wish Konami would make their own games again. It's not like the hardware is costly to program for.

Lol thats quite funny because that is exactly how i found the demo. I got as far as that knight thing and just kept dying no matter how many times i hit him. Maybe im just crap at this game and its not for me but after 10 attempts i was like sod this i can spend my time much better than this ****.

Just like the first Lords of Shadow, enemies take far too many hits to kill.

I think the problem is like all bad demos it fails to adequately explain how to actually play it. I try not to worry too much about demos as there have been plenty of bad ones in the past. I remember when I first played the Batman AA demo and thought it was absolutely awful, and yet it was one of the best games of this generation.

Quietly optimistic that its just a bad put together demo.

Well I had no problems killing the enemies mentioned by others so I don't think the demo is particularly bad done. I just think it's a badly made product. Swinging with the cross is not smooth, jumping is unresponsive, combat in clunky.

Still you never know. Pity as I was dying for this to be great.
