Knowing Nintendo I'm sure that transferring from Wii to WiiU will be simplicity itself!

I won't even believe this until I see it for myself.

I suppose it's wishfull thinking that I'll be able to transfer my US Wii VC games to a Pal Wii U?

Considering you will probably have to wait months and the launch for the WiiU to appear here, and therefore import it probably wont be an issue!

          Definitely wishful thinking.

No it isn't. I made Nintendo do it for me.

I hope I can move my MHTri save from my J-Wii with CFW to my NA Wii-U...Let's be honest, I'll be getting a J-console at some point too if they confirm region-locking.

Did any decent news get announced at the very last Nintendo Conference? - not the 5 o'clock one the late night show.

Any news on when the supposed hour long 3DS conference is? Or is there even a conference for this or was the guy just annoyed.

After a long hunt found the answer for 3DS on the official Nintendo website, Wednesday 6PM PDT (whatever that means). So should be interesting to see what they show.

                      I think it's 2AM GMT, though I'm not 100% sure.

Edit: Yep, 2AM according to this topic on this very site

Pretty underwhelmed by the Wii U personally. At the very least with the 3DS they have some great looking games coming. Really looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 2 and Paper Mario!

Absolutely awful, nothing new announced whatsoever. The games shown looked great but nothing we haven't already seen before. Also no monster hunter 3G or fire emblem, although apparently those are both coming to Europe (crosses fingers). When you see all of the 3DS games that Japan get compared to what the west get it it's pretty depressing, no wonder the system is under performing in the west.

Fire Emblem was confirmed via NoA's Twitter a short time ago.

And in fairness, there are very few that Japan gets that everywhere doesn't. The response to the Fire Emblem games on the DS was very lacklustre so be glad they're even making the effort with the 3DS one - and hope it doesn't have the ridiculous DLC prices the JPN version does.

But yeah, not much a showing from Nintendo. Not even I can pretend to put a swing on it.

Yeah I noticed that about fire emblem shortly after my post :P Nintendo had an awful E3 but i think the main problem was that they revealed too much last year so it appears theres not a whole lot that's new now. The Wii U launch lineup actually looks really strong but there are no real must haves there from Nintendo, not when you are competing with the likes of halo 4 or CoD. Also another thing that's hurting Nintendo are their strict NDAs that prevent third parties from talking about their games, I don't believe that the likes of Capcom, square enix, konami etc. have nothing in development for the Wii U. But the fact that Nintendo never even bothered to give us a list of partners that are making games for the system has resulted in most people thinking that there are no games being made for it
