That's pretty sick. What do you do for a living if you don't mind my asking?

E3 this year was a big disappointment to me. I was hoping for a smaller PS3 rerelease, and a hell of a lot more Vita and Wii U software than what was shown. Microsoft's Smart Glass ended up being by far the coolest part of the show for me, but I have no plans to buy another Xbox so I won't get to use it anyway.

What I do for an actual living is unfortunately not very relevant! On the side though I do bits of journalism; as well as the odd bit here, I write things and podcast for another site which I believe you've just set me up to shamelessly plug like this. Getting to the show and staying off the streets was out of my own pocket, but getting in through the front door and having appointments / conferences etc lined up was through the site.

EA have lost 50% of their share price since November. That's a lot of money.

AAA games are ****e, they should be helping to shape our future, and they are, but not in a good way.
+1 and I am concerned I can empathise with the are we getting older comments, I cant remember the last time I was super hyped for a new game.

I fear I have lost my gaming mojo.

I have been playing Boy and His Blob with my 4 year old this week, an excellent introduction into gaming, but also an excellent game that reminds me so much of the stuff I played growing up.

We then put Super Mario Bros on and he loves it!

He has been struggling with games, I think it is because they are so complicated to get into these days.
I forget that when I was 3 I was playing Pong on my Binatone Video Game System, and then the games on the Atari were things like Moon Patrol which consisted of nothing more than timed jumps, so no wonder I found it easy to pick up.

I was the simplicity of many that made them so great as a kid.

The point of my above post was that I have actually got back into my games a bit playing the Wii with my son.

Buying a SNES last year kickstarted my real love of gaming again. Games I never finished such as Chrono Trigger, Terranigma, Secret of Mana and many others have now been completed with more to do and I loved playing them every bit as much as I did in the 90's.

Terranigma, that is a game I never played, considering Mana, Illusuion of Time and Chrono Trigger were my Fave games ever I think I better get on with finding a copy.

I completed it late last year and I utterly love it. Still fantastic to this day, great gameplay, good length and a really nice story on top.
