The problem is that it's Metal Gear Solid. A 15 odd hour game full of content, ideas and plot all for ?40.

Ground Zeroes is none of that with a battlefield and a very vague and meaningless missions that was originally ?40.

You've expressed your opinion in this thread multiple times, everyone knows what you think.

I don't know what "horse armor" (which is a bit "2006" don't you think?) has got to do with this, but if you must know, I've never bought any micro-transactions for any game, as I don't care about that kind of rubbish at all. However, I also don't give a damn if someone wants to buy a pair of new underpants for his game character with real money. How does that affect me or my game? It doesn't, so I don't care. As long as DLC isn't gamebreaking I don't care as I don't HAVE to buy it to play the game.

You don't think Ground Zeroes is worth the money, so you have the simple choice of NOT buying it (or wait 2 months when you can probably get it second hand for ?5).

Just confirming that the Japanese version has Japanese voices with English subtitles, if people go for that.

So that wasn't you in a first play thread giving somebody grief about season passes?

I am gonna pick this up used I think. I want to play it but don't want to encourage companies to start doing it all the time.

Wonder where this will appear on the charts in a weeks time, from all the threads on HotUKDeals etc so many people still seem to think of this as a full game etc.

                "Giving somebody grief?"

Hardly, it was merely an advice made partly in jest.

Sony have been doing this for years with Gran Turismo Prologue. What's the fuss about over this title? It's no different whatsoever.
                  Kept you waiting, huh?

I could complete mgs on ps1 in 1h 19mins without glitches so there's not that much difference really is there?

If game length instead of quality is really that much of a problem, don't get it.

That required some level of skill though, fishbowl.

I think any old noob could do the ten minute Ground Zeroes speed run.

It's getting 8/10's on most sites.

I can't see much mention of Kiefer Sutherland's groundbreaking emotive skills in the reviews so it was clearly totally worth getting rid of Hayter.

I've been at it for about 3 hours so far! Admittedly I am rubbish at stealth games.

I take it back. Having just completed it... yeah, it's just a demo. There are side missions and the like but the main game will take most people 1 hour at most, then significantly less on replay.

Once you complete it, you unlock a whole bunch of stuff. I won't spoil, but that's where the bulk of the game is.

I'm glad I only paid 2400 yen for it, rather than the regular 7000 yen that new games cost.

The replay value in trying to get the S rank on all missions should be decent though?

It's more than that, to be fair. Once you complete the main mission, you unlock the SideOps missions. Those missions, in addition to the amount of things there are to collect and unlock means there's plenty to value here - provided you didn't pay more than ?20 tops.

Put it this way, if you buy the game to play over the weekend, you will complete the main mission on Friday night, then spend the rest of the weekend going through the side stuff.
