      I think you mean RGB.
      oops

as for MSR, i knew there was some kind of widescreen option, yet it might be just like PGR's useless fake 'widescreen'. When i get some free time tomorrow i go through my 28 xbox games, and some of the high profile DC/GC games(shenmue and RougeLeader:2 have gotta have that option).

It was like some cheat you unlocked along with the special screen effects such as the underwater mode. If I remember correctly if you turned it on and saved your game it could never be turned off again, which sucked if you had a 4:3 TV as I did back then

What's this fake widescreen you speak of?

Shenmue doesn't appear to be on the DC list on the site evilmatt posted about so I'm guessing there's no widescreen option. Also no 16:9 support in Rebel Strike (unfortunately).

Of the top of my head, pause PGR, then go to the options, and there should be a pile of camera options of which 'widescreen' is one of them, it does change the screen but it just looks plan bad, trying to make widescreen image on widescreen tv , other than that the normal image looks squashed and there's no advantage to using a widescreen tv to increase the amount seen (like DoA3,Burnout2).

Oh that! That's not trying to be widescreen, it's just a wide angle camera. It changes the FOV from the normal 90 degrees upto 100 and 120, which helps create a greater sensation of speed.

I seem to remember a game developer saying just this. Apparently many games (that don't have 4x3/16x9 options) are created with an "in between" aspect ratio of 14x9 in mind, so they don't look too bad either way

I know it's already been said, but finally I can tip my hat to Bizarre for giving PGR2 gorgeous widescreen support.

Perfect Dark" works well in widescreen mode.

Goldeneye features widescreen mode too I think (probably the first game to feature the WS option). It's been over 3 years since I last played it though so I may be wrong.

ESPN NBA 2K4 doesn't support it and I had sold my GC version of NBA 2K3 which support widescreen for XBOX version for easier control, live gaming and widescreen but no widescreen

So far it seems very little to none EA games use widescreen options.

When you checked what games are widescreen are you just putting them in 16:9 and seeing if they look ok or are you looking for specific 16:9 support? It's just that there's a lot of games in your list that don't feature any support for 16:9 display (Splinter Cell, JSRF, MGS2, PGR, Project Zero, etc.)

Well, the xbox set to widescreen support, and the games you mentioned use the entire screen (basiclly scretching) unlike Halo, which has huge vertical borders at the side. I'm mainly looking for games that fully use it to increase the amount seen on screen, the rest just seem to stretch or not at all.

                                I'm confused

The stretching/borders thing is purely down to your TV automatically selecting the ratio and gettting itself confused, my TV does it sometimes on adverts. You can get any game to be display as a 16:9 image by mannually changing the TVs ratio, but that doesn't mean the game has widescreen support. Your not actually seeing any extra game space, it's just stretching a 4:3 image. Those games I mention don't actually show anything extra on screen (other than PGR, but that's a camera effect).
