It would be exellent if more than a dozen people in the West bought EDF4(.1) this time. Unless your pals were online it was murder to get a good multiplayer game rolling.

I re-read that "review" the other week, Golgo, worried I'd blown things out of proportion and it really is very poor journalism.
It comes across as an unfunny teenager's blog talking about something they clearly only spent an hour playing.
It makes me sad as I used to quite like Eurogamer and their love of EDF 2017 was really refreshing.
It's sad that one person'd opinion can make so much damage, not only to the sales of a game, but also the opinion of the integrity of a whole website.
I hope the PS4 release is reviewed by somebody who actually wants to play the game.Comment

Indeed. Although she appears to have reined her ego in a bit, quite often her reviews still seem to work as excuses to talk about herself, and she will play just enough of a game to find a way to speak about her relationships, foibles, hopes and dreams. In the EDF case it was her phobia of bugs, I believe.
