I didn't get IA because I heard that the bugs instantly disappeared when they died - as if vaporised. Might seem like a stupid reason not to get it - but I loved the sense of impact in 2017, with insta-rigamortis bug carcasses flying all over the place when firing a rocket into their midst. Do we know if they've returned to form on large scale bug spreadary?

I think they're updating the existing engine that they built for 2017, so it should be fairly similar, including the crazy ant-blasting physics.

To be fair, the ants did disappear eventually, but they just vanish, no evaporation animation like IA, which got rid of them ASAP to allow more on-screen enemies.

Ampanman, I'm glad you're enjoying Insect Armageddon, and I hope you're playing it on co-op. It's quite different to the other games though. It's like when America remakes Japanese films. It's glossier, easier to understand and has better production values, but something is lost in the translation.

I won't use the Godzilla remake as a comparison, because IA really was a fun game. Maybe Ringu/The Ring or Seven Samurai/The Magnificent Seven.

For me, I preferred 2017's plethora of levels (some quite short) as opposed to IA's longer levels, but less of them.
As Prinny said, the variety of enemies in IA was a lot wider than 2017 though.
The lack of online co-op was enough for me to ignore 2017 until Prinny, Katsu and VanPeebles urged me to try it anyway.
Although co-op would've been brilliant, it's still one of my favourite games.

I think lessons are being learned from both games, and I'm hoping the co-op experience will be immense!

I don't think I'll ever finish those last three 2017 levels without seriously farming some health!
