Jeez, I only got this yesterday and I've already put eight and a half hours in to it, easy to see the other half isn't here this weekend. It is absolutely EPIC! So much going on, it's just jaw dropping at times, best thing on PS4 right now for me.

I'm over 240 hours, just wait until you play some of the levels on hardest and inferno, it chucks all sorts of other stuff at you. Metallic and ghostly white spiders, red and black wasps, yellow and black ants etc.Originally posted by Colin View Post

Try the level on the beach with the waves of red ants (Crimson Tide?) on anything higher than normal, you spend more time in the jaws of the ants than on your feet!Comment

That's the first level where the black ants appear, they can actually jump - or certainly appear to. They are much fast than the other ants. For info the golden ones are not particularly fast, however one squirt of acid can can reduce your HP to 0.Originally posted by kryss View Post

I've only done it on normal, I think the third wave got me on hard. Gear was still too low.

Just to clear this whole headset thing up. I was out with Bane for a few beers the other night, he was a bit down from constantly getting his arse kicked from Batman and needed a little cheering up. He absolutely assured me that this was the correct way to wear a headset 2.0 for the upcoming EDF sessions and I thought I could trust him -

Katsu is a crazy gung-ho maverick who is reckless enough to almost get himself killed.
...almost...
but you want him fighting on your side.
Many a time I've been downed, watching Katsu's Wing Diver dashing around the map picking up enough health to revive the team. Proper nail-biting action!
Do you remember the one time I was on a map as an Air Raider and I was rolling for aaages, picking off ants until we cleared the map? What about the time we sussed that a couple of choppers with side-mounted cannons were great for razing hornet nests?
Ah, so many happy memories!
What's the cheapest you can get this for now?
EDIT: Can anyone beat ?29.99 at Base.com? Anyone used them before?

Sadly not, Colin. The missus is trying to curb any outrageous expenditure at the moment.
However, I have a chum who has just bought an XBox One as well as already owning a PS4 and all I'm hearing is XBone this, Xbone that, so I've asked if I can borrow his PS4 for a while.
I reckon I could sneak EDF 4.1 in and claim it's his, but buying a whole console is a lie too far!
Wing Diver is easily my fave class, but I'm glad I saved her for later. Air Raider is a great team player. Slamming down power boosts or shields and laser-guiding the Fencer's train-sized missiles onto hectors. I used to like attaching gun and power boost turrets on my chimpcopter and flying into battle. Sometimes I'd play Ride of the Valkyries or the 633 Squadron Theme over the headset!Comment
