Liked it here too, although $80 for the Origin Special Edition...hm, not sure I'd pay that much, but the extras are awfully tempting. It felt very much like the Wii version crossed with Cities XL. I liked the DS version as you could draw big squares of zoning, just having little bits at the edge of roads makes sense, but you lose the "city block" feel and the efficiency of space.
No framerate issues on my desktop, the stop-motion like animation of the shoot-out with the police in the tutorial was funny to watch. Shooting goes on for a minute or two and then the last bad guy slowly raises his hands.
