    I'm on 360 number 7.

I bought a launch 360, an elite and the new S model, the rest red ringed. Thankfully the new S model seems to be the hardware it should have been at launch.

Number 7 here as well. It's certainly put me off buying the next Xbox, and it's also made me extremely wary of digital content.

I had one for a short while until I realised I don't like Halo anymore, or Gears. It was worth it though for Trials HD. Sold before it had a chance to RROD.

I've actually had three RRoD on me, and my launch unit RRoD'd on my mum shortly after I gave it to her.

So, I'm on my fifth now (slim).

I was lent one, which RROD five minutes after booting it, so I repaired it. Was still working a few months later.

I bought a slim a few months ago, but it doesn't seem to suck enough air in through the vents, so I built a little platform for it out of chopsticks covered with black tape. I'm probably not improving anything, but I feel safer (in my mind).

Mind you, the HDD keeps playing up with this one. It repeatedly freezes and crashes if I try to do too much (like play a game and download off XBL at the same time).

The first Xbox was built rock solid. I've still got a launch model I had modded, must have clocked over 1000 hours on it, covered in dust, survived three house moves, cross-channel posting in a box, and run all manner of DVD-Rs and CD-RWs, had crap plastered all over its HDD, and it's still going strong. Actually, the original Xbox is the only moving parts console I've had that hasn't had any trouble. Well, that and the 3DO. All the others (PS1, PS2, DC, Duo, CDi, Wii), have at some point started playing up in some way.

How MS ****ed up so badly with the 360 is mind boggling.

The first Xbox is so solid you need C4 to get into it.
