60gb died with YLOD and a 120gb slim died with the update loop error

I won a 60Gb PS3 that is still fine.

I don't use it anywhere near as much as my 360 though!

My HDD failed month before last, on my 2008 Fat 40gb white Japanese model. Then last month it YLOD. Was gonna repair but heard it would just keep happening, so bought a 12gb Super Slim which is very, very quiet . Awaiting HDD mount bracket/caddy.

My 60 gig fatty died about couple of years ago with YLOD

Left if for a few months then attempted a fix ( I bought a Slim in the meantime)

Fix worked for about 30 mins

Took it to PS Pros in London who got it up and running but after about an hour of getting it home it sounded like a jumbo taking off.
Got all the saved games and other bits off it and took it to PS Pros again but they basically said they could do no more (did refund me for the repair though)

My slim is now starting to get a bit noisy
