Anyway, those old games are always better in my memory than in real life.

^ This is true, EvilBoris. Lady Nostalgia is a cruel mistress. Fortunately I never played Shenmue 'back in the day'. Or rather I would've refused to, because if I could even have been arsed to own the wanky console it ran on the game would've been as **** then as it is **** now.

Generally not, I'd always rather watch a film I've not seen before than one I have.
I also try to find new music and artists I've not heard before also.

Not that I believe that film and Music are anything like games, I don't think that Music or Film dates in the same way that a game does.

Well, Super Mario World and Super Tennis are two games that are every bit as playable now as they were over 20 years ago.
The Prodigy Experience while still pretty good, sounds rather dated now.

Manic Miner while still fun isn't perhaps good to play anymore.
Dire Straits, Money for Nothing is still a blindly fabulous album.

I like older and new stuff. For me quality is quality and nothing to do with nostalgia.

Having just seen the headline "A watershed moment, pokemon on iOS", i'm going to say any pokemon game ever, what a load of old ****. I watched my nephew play one once and was baffled by his addiction to it, I don't think i'd even have liked it when I was a kid. Load of old wank. NOT a watershed moment in any way, shape or form to see it on ANY format.

Having never played any Pokemon game too, because I'm not 8, I can confidently say it's a load of old toss.
Gotta catch them all! Fascinating.

The only people who do play such games are kids themselves or manchild sex offenders who don't want to grow up.

Hitman Absolution? ****man Ablutions more like! Dumbed down to hell, 'silent assassin' guaranteed on every map just let the game play itself. Bloody rubbish, if I wanted to poison people and dress as a giant chicken I'd go back to my day job handing out leaflets for Kentucky Fried. Ballocks!

Well, it's a very knowledgeable crowd here. There isn't much that 'we' haven't played. Quite hard then to pretend you haven't and make mock-ignorant statements about it. A happily failed experiment.
