Never completed the first one but this one is great. Now level 23 and about 6-7 missions from the end?

Just finished Assassins Creed 3 from the Anthology pack.
Thougths:
ASSASSINS CREED 3 - 7/10
+ Improved graphics engine. Everything looks a lot nicer.
+ New setting. American Revolution. Interesting.
+ Brand new combat system. Difficult at 1st, but much improved once used to it. I love it now.
+ Naval Combat! Awesome.
+ Interaction with historical characters. Always fun.
+ Ending of Assassins Creed 2 finally explained.
+- Story is ok. But not great.
+ DLC adds a very interesting & fun fantasy element. Liked that a lot.
+- Lots of stuff to do. But you don't want to do it as in previous games.
- Main character is annoying. Sanctimonious wet blanket.
- Boring side missions. (except naval).
- Loads of extras that you don't use, or have no idea how to use them.
- Lack of upgrading as in previous games. More difficult, less important.
- The slowest start to any game ever. Half of the entire game feels like a tutorial (that doesn't help at all). Severe pacing issues.
I've played all the AC games this year, and I will purchase AC4 as my PS4 launch title. From what I read, they are fixing this that they broke in AC3, and heading back to the freedom of AC2. The naval combat in AC3 was truly brilliant to me, and with the setting of the next game, this is only going to get better (hopefully).

i have been playing
Borderlands 2 ....though i have to say i do not remember a moment i have actually stopped playing it
X3: albion prelude : with the sequel due soon (though god knows when i suspect will be delayed till next year) thought i would give it a try and carried on from my last save which i now almost has a fleet of ships.
Been playing some doujin pc games inc crimzon clover which is a insanely good 2d shooter like a cross between gigawing and dodonpachi and a 2d fighter called yatagarasu which is pretty good and has a indiegogo campaign to make it better
videos of the doujin games

Just finished Alan Wake. Had the 360 Collectors Edition for a while. Really enjoyed it...like a cross between Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark.
Moved on to my complete play through of the Gears of War series (I've only ever played one). It's like a final goodbye to the 360 as I move over to PS.

A little bit of New Style Boutique, Monster Hunter and Luigis Mansion. Now I've just downloaded When Vikings Attack, Lego Lord of the Rings and Saints Row the Thrid and trying to decide between NFS, Spec Ops or Mafia... only have room for one... or maybe just maybe I should play some of the other stuff already downloaded but never launched.
Unfortunately my niece caught me playing New Style Boutique and now she wants to dress everyone, girl has some terrible taste at times.

Downloaded and installed XB360 Arcade Tomb Raider/Lara Croft: The Guardian of Light a few days ago and decided to try it out. Fours hours later in the early hours of the morning I was still still playing. Great game and freshest feeling Crystal Dynamics TR I've played yet. It turns TR into a genuine arcade experience packed with content and no pretensions about it being anything else other than a puzzle/shooter.

Forza 1 is still the game I'm "officially" playing, but it gets me all wired, not what I want at night, so I was looking for a relaxing single-player game. Picked out Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on Gamecube.
Played four tournaments, and won them all. Enjoyed it, but too easy. I used to play golf games a fair bit, but haven't played one for many years. Was hoping for more of a challenge. So it might go back on the shelf, to be pulled out when mates are round (oo-er!).
It's so hard to find a game that's relaxing and simple, but still provides a sense of achievement and progress, and isn't too easy.
