After the disappointment of Batman I've called it a day with this generation of games. I'm not going to bother going through my back log and stick to Fifa 13 on the PS3 and The entire Gears Of War series again in Co-Op on the Xbox 360.
Last two games ill add for this generation are Fifa 14 (PS3) and GTA on either of the two consoles, not decided yet.

As in you're going retro or getting next gen?
It's a shame you didn't enjoy Arkham Asylum. I played it recently and really enjoyed it. I don't know how the combat would have worked if it was first-person, but if you disliked the third-person perspective, I can understand why you disliked the experience.
I have so many games on my "to play" list, it would be daft of me to give up on this gen.
I've been hammering Driver: San Francisco and I think it might be my favourite driving game ever.

I haven't played it yet but find it odd you wanted it 1st person when the GoW series you're desperate to replay (and one of only 2 games this gen you will replay) is 3rd person also. Was Batman really done that badly comparatively?

Space Channel 5 Pt 2 on the Dreamcast Collection (360 version). I only ever played this on the Dreamcast, so I'm used to the Japanese dub, which, thankfully can still be accessed if you set your console language to Japanese. Shame it wasn't offered as an in-game option. Still an absolutely brilliant game

Meanwhile, I'm still playing the Saboteur and still enjoying it but I can see that once the storyline finishes competing all the ambient freeplay events is going to be a fair chore.

I agree that the combat was fairly easy, but I think it was meant to be. If you couldn't take down 5 perps without breaking a sweat, you wouldn't feel like Batman. To me, the combat was all about taking down as many people as possible in as stylish a way as possible. I tried loads, but I couldn't get the achievement for using all the combos, but I had fun trying.
However, the combat was just a small part of the game. I enjoyed watching the mystery unfold, doing some detective work to find the Riddler's clues and zipping about the environments.
You know FIFA and GTA IV aren't first-person, right?
