Can't understand all the Ninty love sometimes. Remake after remake of the same games, they should get some new IP. Yes I too loved Starfox, Mario Kart, F Zero etc. but remake after remake request seems almost insane to me.
People on here slag most games that are remade citing "lack of originality" " no new character" etc. When it comes to Nintendo all that seems to go out of the window. And as for the Wii U, it IS overpriced and it badly thought out from an integration and online viewpoint. Having to pay for things I have already in VC is insulting. But hey ho, we have our opinions and this is just mine
Anyway enough of the rant, I will now dig out my Super Famicom....

Understandable opinion and on the hardware side I agree. However, with Nintendo and there main dev teams there one of the only things that excite me about games nowadays. EAD have made most of the greatest games ever made, so for the sake of a few hundred quid to play their masterpieces, its peanuts for the pleasure you get out of them.

Am super happy. Wonderful 101 looks great fun, the new RPGs have massive promise (the trailer shown at the end of the direct feed looked fantastic) a new yoshi game is a pleasant surprise (looks gorgeous too) and great to hear a few hints at how bayonette is progressing. All hugely pleasant surprises
Obviously new details on pikmin 3 was a bonus - and wind waker in HD, is for me personally, a dream come true. Shame the assets are the same, but bugger that - am super excited..
Roll on e3 - can't wait to see mario, mario kart and first glimpses of new smash bros.
I'm a very happy wii U owner

The nintendo direct was a weird one, Iwata said that it was important to have a good range of titles then straight after admitted that there is nothing for January and February. The Virtual Console announcement was a HUGE step backwards, only two platforms available (with GBA being added who knows when) and a limited selection to be released in JUNE, until then its one game a month and when the service does go live on eShop the selection will be limited. After that we got a mention of Mario Kart, Smash Brothers and 3D Mario being shown off at E3. A few screenshots of Yoshi and Wind Waker, the MegaTen X Fire Emblem was a pleasant surprise but it was just a teaser trailer with no gameplay footage and Monoliths new game looks good but the video was brief and only had one enemy on screen. Other than the Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 there was no substantial gameplay videos of any of the games mentioned. Its a bit worrying that this is all Nintendo has to show at the moment. Nintendo really need to make the most of their year head start but at the moment the release schedule looks barren and all Nintendo are at the moment just saying the games are going to be coming a bit later without showing off anything.
