On a N3DS you can use the right stick to move, both the L&R sticks move pit but there is no way to have one stick do movement and one aiming. I'm assuming it would be the same using a CPP

Yep it is. If I remember correctly, the functionality of the CPP on Kid Icarus was to allow for better left-handed control.

Edit: Doh, CS said that already on the previous page. I'm a guy who walked into a room and repeated what everyone else had been talking about...

Sega of America confirm second wave of 3D Classics titles (3D After Burner II, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D OutRun, 3D Fantasy Zone II and 3D Thunder Blade) for North American and European eShops, starting from early 2015. Priced ?4.49/€4.99/$5.99.

          Finally!!

The SEGA 3D Classics range will make a return in early 2015, with the publisher today confirming their plans to spotlight the company's arcade history through

Couldn't agree more. In all honesty, I didn't think that these would get western releases. The lead developer at M2 stated a while back that sales figures for the first batch of Sega 3D Classics games were disappointing.

Needless to say, all of these are day one purchases as far as I'm concerned.

Thing is, cause it's all digital they have got nothing to lose. They don't need retail shops to sell and they don't need to produce packaging. They don't even need to translate anything. If anything I blame Nintendo for shafting us ie Phoenix Wright 5 being digital only...

There's more to selling a game in the EU than just putting it in a box. Don't forget that the EU has a bunch of languages to consider apart from English and even US stuff sometimes has to be localised further. Plus there's censorship and other things to consider.

Of course, I'd prefer it if Nintendo weren't such dicks about using other region accounts, etc; Sony and MS let people do with their consoles. That would be the best compromise - don't officially support/condone importing but don't make a concerted effort to block it. Especially on a handheld. WTF is up with that? Handhelds were always region-free! Even the PSP was only region-locked for films.

In all fairness, as crap a decision that was, Dual Destinies being digital-only in the west was very much a Capcom decision - especially as JPN 3DS owners got a physical version!

I just personally feel that the Ace Attorney games have next to no replay value so there needs to be the option to trade it in/sell it on once you've played through it.

Not strictly true - my R2 copy of Spiderman 2 UMD worked fine on my JPN PSP-1000 model.

PSP/DS era was arguably when handheld piracy exploded, so from that viewpoint it's hard to begrudge Sony and Nintendo for going down the route they went with the Vita and 3DS respectively (not that I agree with it totally - I don't).

That's because Japan and the UK are both region 2 fella all UK UMDs worked on JPN PSPs. They were region locked though, US ones wouldn't work without CFW. Think UMD Music discs were too.

Fair enough. I thought that Japan was R1, but then I've literally not used my PSP in years (Region is always listed on the packaging iirc?)

Could've sworn that my US copy of Lumines worked on my PSP without the need for CFW though? Was the region-locking of PSP games not at the publisher's/developer's discretion?

PSP games were not locked at all.

Yeah, just Movie and Music discs were locked. Japan was R2 the same as Europe. The region was weirdly marked on the packaging of games too, even though they weren't locked.

Cancelled my Australian NN3DS pre-order today. Got more important things to buy / start saving for.

I'll get one next year at EU launch.

I cancelled my Alpha Sapphire preorder and think I'll be getting rid of my 3DS XL and copy of Pok?mon Y. Think I've finally grown out of Pok?mon.
