Sorry thank you for the reminder, it still amazes me that purchases are not tied to an account I would of gone and got shut of the old 3ds straight away if you hadn't reminded me so thanks for that.

Mediocre faceplate lol, coming from the man who bought all the first run of faceplates are perchance you a bit annoyed that there's one you can't get now, you have allready bought some quite mediocre ones just for the sake of having a complete collection.

Given how slow and oddly one at a time they have been with other things such as sending out codes, I suspect the decision was based on which post-its with hand-written account mail addresses haven't yet fallen off their computer screen.

Lol be realistic I think they Probaly used an excell 95 spreadsheet, they only have excell 95 because Joan from accounts brought it in from home.

Not sure on criteria I've had a vip account since day one of the gamecube, got a 3ds on launch and a wiiu too I even got that phatt grey ds so there Probaly just going by who's the biggest nintendo sucker and how much they can get away with charging. Holds hands up nintendo got me.

say this soft launch dosent do well then they have some fantastic sales data and can reasses the price and make it more competitive when it dose come out.

Considering they're 100% of my gaming purchases now I really do hate Nintendo sometimes. I bet most of these go to scalpers who work in CEX/Game and steal the points cards to sell Club Nintendo stuff on eBay (and thus eBay will be flooded with "Ambassador New 3DSs" within days with a huge mark-up for us real fans).

Except i didn't buy all the faceplates just the ones i actually liked. There are a lot i won't buy as the designs do absolutely nothing for me, and that ambassador faceplate is one of them it's just Nintendo written in english & japanese hardly exciting to me in fact of all the faceplate designs they could have done it reeks of lazyness, they could have gone all out and actually themed it with some mention of the ambassador system made it special with some unique art but instead they did the bare minimum and charged a premium for it. What exactly about that faceplate says ambassador or marks it as a special faceplate?

I like it minimalist typography always looks good, if your not a fan I'm sure there would be loads of people who are and willing to take it off your hands for more than what you paid for it.
