From tomorrow (23rd) Nintendo are running a 'Buy 3 get 1 free' promo on certain 3DS games - the eligible titles are:

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Nintendo 3DS Version)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate
Luigi's Mansion 2
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Pok?mon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

Seems pretty good. I'm not sure there's more than two or three games I actually want from that list, but I guess I'd accept a free copy of MonHun just to give it a try.

If I'm understanding it right you can buy physical copies of 3 to qualify you, and then download the 4th.

I am crossing my fingers NoA get in on this too - I've got unregistered copies of three of these titles already!

That's correct - you can mix & match physical & digital registrations, but the freebie is a download.

i have fire emblem and luigi already, pretty sure i'd buy animal crossing but i want monster hunter on DD instead of animal crossing...

I've already bought and registered 3 of those, with DKC on pre-order and I'm on the fence about LEGO City Undercover.

Oh wait, this promotion isn't for North America anyway...

I got dicked over for the XL promotion as well, they only started it in March and I'd already registered it of course

That's crappy that they only allow 3DS XL systems registered after a certain date. In the NoE promotion you could get a free game for registering a 3DS XL (no extra purchase required like NA) and it worked retroactively for already registered systems!

Are you referring to Kryss or the new promotion? I can't see anything about the date of registration of the 3DS in the T&Cs of the new offer.

Talking about the promotion for a free 3DS game for XL owners back in Q4 2012. It included 3DS XL consoles already registered before the promotion.

In the new offer for a free game when you buy three:
'Game registrations are retroactive; any eligible game registered with Club Nintendo before the promotion was announced, including Download Versions, counts towards the three purchases required to claim a free download code.'
