The black one is the same inside as out. It's not a sheen or anything.

I'll believe it when I see it. Sceptical for some reason. Too late for me to care now that I have a XL but I wish they'd move back to having plastic that doesn't show marks!

Was playing with my Nikon D60 the other day and thought it would be great to have that plastic for a handheld.

It's definitely the same plastic throughout. This is the MH3U unit, which I'd imagine is the same as the stand-alone BTW. It shows marks too.

But I mean, if it gets scratched it won't show white plastic under it or whatever - like a Game Boy Light would. I sold my red DSL when I marked the corner, resulting in the white plastic underneath it showing. Gross.

Oh, I see. Well that I don't know. I thought you meant was the lid shiny compared to the matt of the underside.

The underside and lid are the same on my XL. Satin metallic red. I did see someone at MCM with the MH3U XL but didn't think to ask to inspect it.

Tons of people with Pikachu edition too. Makes me glad I didn't pay the extra ?50 or so for one...

This one is all matt. The lid, underside, and insides of it are all the same matt black. I've only ever seen the all-white one outside of mine.

FFS. Every day I come here someone else has got a 3ds. I basically have to have one now.

You could get the FE Ltd Edition XL, buy my MH3U, and Luigi from a store or D/L. You can then get AC for free via the So Many Games promo. Then hit CEX for Layton.

Super Mario 3D Land is more like Galaxy a couple of 2D bits, but mostly like the 3D marios
