Yeah, I thought that I might be enabling some serious expenditure just after I posted that. It's the nicest XL/LL version I've seen so far, though. Enough to make me wish I was rich enough to buy two units and do some innard-swapping.

It really is very nice and if I didn't already have an LL, and could get a decent price for the SRW special, I would definitely be getting my hands on one. Who knows, a lotto win of more than $5k would practically FORCE me to buy one

The thing is, I would rather spend the money on getting the extra DLC for the game rather than having ANOTHER console. I have three 3DS right now, with another one already "technically" sold to one of my bosses.

Pre-ordered the game, which came out to $79.90 after $5 discount on PA. Still expensive enough.

I've just brought a 3DS XL & it's a beautiful bit of kit but I have an issue with the Internet Browser.

Sometimes it works but most time I press the Internet Browser button, the program boot up but then just hangs. It goes back to the main menu with the warning "An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, then restart the system."

I've formatted the 3DSXL to factory settings & it still occurs. Has anyone had this or can give any advice?

Have you updated the firmware?

I've not had that on any of mine.

Yeah, got the latest firmware, still happening but sometimes I can get the browser to respond.

The E Shop works perfectly & the Internet connection test works fine.

Might be a duff machine. I'd try replacing or reformatting the SD card though, I've had similar trouble with mine and it turned out to be the crappy SD card I was using.

I still can't StreetPass with my NA XL after transferring the system from my NA 3DS.
I've done the change Mii, turn off streetpass in StreetPass Plaza, delete SP data from notifications, wait 24, etc. several times. I may have to get the big boys involved next.

Mario Kart 7 will give you more hours gameplay if you like playing online/multiplayer, I found SM3DL good but a bit short and a 'beat and sell' kind of game.

3D Land is available as part of the Club Nintendo 'free game' offer for all new 3DS XL owners. So you should get MK7 and then you'll have 3D Land for free too by Jan

I still haven't managed to successfully register for the free game. Any ideas on how to fix it? Tried it in both Chrome and IE and it just seems broken.

I've decided to return it to Amazon for a refund and have just brought another one as I wanted it over Christmas, it should be here by Friday!

I formated the SD card that came with it and my own 8BG card and tried the machine on my parents Wi-Fi point to see if it was our router. Nothing worked so I'm guessing it's my own console.

Played a few more levels of Super Mario 3D Land and the XL screen really makes the art and level design shine. Beautiful machine.

Also, is there anything I should do to the SD card when I get my new machine? Should I put my own custom 8GB Card in the 3DS before I even power it on or should I leave in the one it came with?
