^ Is MHU3 really worth playing on 3DS alone, or is it just a stopgap when you can't get to the U? Serious question as I'm considering getting it.

If you have the slide pad, it's vastly better than without it. I play on Wii U indoors, and then carry on on 3DS when I leave the house. You obviously don't want to be facing off against a Lagiacrus by yourself, but it's alright for farming and less difficult missions. Of course if you know others with the same setup you can play local co-op, but that may not be an option.

Sometimes I even play on 3DS when I'm indoors using the Wii U Packet Relay app, just because I can. You don't actually need the Wii U game to do this either, just a Wii U with a wired connection and the app.

I don't know anyone with a 3DS and haven't got a U, so it sounds like a bit of a stretch for me. I guess the funny AI assistants I read about don't offer adequate compensation for online match-ups?

Well they do help, but obviously not quite on the same level as human players. It would stand you in good stead for if you ever did get online though. You'd be some kind of uber player.

It's a quality title though IMO, there is lots of scope for single player gaming too. TBH, I'd have bought a 3DS especially to play it had I bought the Wii U game first. I literally cannot stop playing it.

In some 3DS related news, I've just come back from 2 weeks in Japan, and from the insane number of streetpass hits I can tell you that 70% of the Japanese I passed were playing Animal Crossing New Leaf (no big shock) and the remaining 30% were playing Dragon Quest VII.

Does anyone else have a similar streetpass survey they would care to share?

I very sadly had to sell my beloved 3DS at Christmas because we needed the pennies... And, to be perfectly fair I wasn't playing it much so it seemed like a sensible thing to do.

... How wrong I was. - The pain!

I've missed it: The joy of seeing people popping up on streetpass, playing those beautifully rendered 3D games that reach out from the screen... I did love my 3DS

- but it was the right choice... We needed the money... It made sense to sell it. It was the right thing to do... No regrets...

Today I caved in. Fire Emblem broke me.

I should hopefully have my new shiny 3DSXL by the end of the week. Now, roll on Animal Crossing. God i'm so weak...

I was actually considering picking that pack up as I'm hankering for a 3DS these days...but then I saw the Fire Emblem one & now I'm torn as that looks bloody nice too.
