A friend of mine bought the new Pokemon 3DS XL machine, and no charger was included. I had no idea Nintendo were still doing that. How do they get away with it?

Gonna be some angry parents on Christmas morning.

Angry parents? I'd worry about the kids more. No charger with UK machine either. Does come with one in US though.

I have never really played Pokemon (I tried a bit of Red back in the day with my little bro's Gameboy and know some of the first gen monsters but that's it). Would you think X/Y would be enjoyable to a newcomer? As I understand each generation is basically the same game with just new Pokemon added to the mix?

Just out of interest, do you have the option of picking either boy/girl trainer in either Pokemon X or Y? Or are oth version gender-specific (Girl in X, Boy in Y)?

Yep, even with other PAL areas like Australia, they get one included.
Sure if they buy from Game the salesperson will tell them, but buy from Tesco etc and they won't have a clue.

Still, the Zelda one looks gorgeous. I can't justify upgrading my regular 3DS to an XL, but I would sure love to have that one.

EDIT - Oh it looks like the included Zelda game is just a download code. Boo.

I don't think Nintendo ever include boxed games in system bundles now do they?

The Zelda one is pretty cool, but I wouldn't actually want to use it on the bus.

It reminds me of the interior decor of Tony Montana's mansion more than anything else.
