Nintendo 3DS (thread twooooo)

Just wanted to post to further what I said about the 3DSXL's battery, earlier.

My 3DS is on the last bar, with the orange light glowing on the unit whilst I have it closed next to me.

Since its last full charge, I have done the following:

>> Played ONE battle in Fire Emblem, in the 2nd chapter, so it was very little time.
>> Played through the demo of Sonic Lost World, which was really short.
>> Played ONE battle on Sub Wars
>> Played a round of Streetpass Quest 2
>> Played through the demo of Nano Assault EX, again, very short

All in all that has to be less than half an hour's gameplay, and the battery is already running out.

Given, I've had the unit on standby a lot, but it's daft that the battery life would be so poor.

I really need one of those bigger batteries.

I've not had much trouble with the 3DS XL battery life at all, I'd say one of the main battery drainers is leaving the wireless on when in sleep mode, turning that off makes a big difference, though it does mean you can't streetpass (if you even care about that)

Yeah, the only time I've had to charge it mid-game is when I was playing OOT, but I was doing 3-4 hr stints on that..

Yes Wifi in standby and screen brightness when playing are the biggest battery drainers for sure.

That's bad. I made world 7 from start over 4 days on Mario 3D just on one charge with wireless on.

Sounds like it's either a faulty battery or you keep it on stand-by a lot. I have the original model and I can get at least 5 hours (estimate, probably more) out of it with 3D on full, but then again, I never keep it on stand-by, I always turn it off after use.

Noticed there was a demo of game center CX3 out on the eshop, tried it out but have mixed feelings on the game now. The demo was stupidly short & limited to 3 goes. The things that i don't seem to like is the presentation there is no classy manuals to the games or carts that i could see like there was in the previous 2 games but that could just be the demo as this time around. You have to play the games in the arcade on location if you goto your house & try to play the menu is disabled but im guessing that changes when you buy them.

Hope the full game makes more of an impression on me.

My first reaction is that I'm not remotely surprised given the lack of effort put into the New Super Mario games but then Link Between Worlds was awesome so Nintendo have shown they're able to follow a classic and do it justice.
