    You're all wrong.

The Vectrex was actually the first console with an analogue thumb stick.

Seriously though, was it actually not?
It was actually digital but it had enough digital values that it felt analogue (lol) enough to get the job done. Less electronics and bulk needed than for a true analogue stick.

The vectrex stick wasn't a thumbstick!

Is this any different to the analogue triggers on 360 pad? Or are we simply using the term wrong there too?

I think pretty much everything since the 64 has used potentiometers. Pretty sure the sensitivity of xbox triggers in 256 levels which is way more than the N64 had. N64 sticks break with alarming regularity too, probably because of the odd design?

'Analog' is American English, 'Analogue' is British English.

Bar the shoulder buttons Nintendo weren't the 1st on all those matters :America beat Nintendo to it and we need to thank our American friends for the console business too

I'm just amazed that some American didn't patient the Cartridge format its self .
