Borderlands2 finally got another stability update and a controls update so you can now reduce the area of the rear touch screen that's activated, a god send for hose that hug the console. Game seems slightly more stable frame rate wise and the texture pop in is slightly reduced.

1) Do all PSP and PS1 games on PSN work on the PSVita?
2) Is the PSVita's emulation as good as the 3DS running DS games, or the DS Lite running GBA games?*
*(I'm asking if the emulation is flawless. As a basis for comparison, I didn't consider the 360 backwards compatible with the Xbox, because most of my games didn't work and many of those that did looked crap, some having weird bits of slowdown)

The offical emulation of PSP (With upscaling) and PSone is fantastic. PSP games that need a nub are sooooo much better on Vita, and the screen really helps. I've purchased loads of them, and would buy lots more if Sony let me!
Had more time with Ratchet HD. It's 30fps and solid, and as a gamer new to the PS2 games, WOW! Really great fun and addictive. With PS+ cross buy it was about ?15 for all three. Well worth it.
I also tried the borderlands control change, using a smaller section of the back touch. GODSEND!

Wonder if there is any truth to the above story? I can't see Sony announcing a new unit but a big price cut would be helpful and a perhaps it wouldn't hurt them to vastly reduce the price of memory cards.
Originally posted by Lebowski View PostThe device is backwards-compatible with most PlayStation Portable games; however, its lack of a UMD drive limits this capability to those titles which have been digitally released on the PlayStation Network via the PlayStation Store, ps1 games dont work either though sony recently added a ton of ps1 games to the vita store by mistake and loads of peole downloaded them and they worked fine, so im thinking they must be coming soon.
Originally posted by Brad View PostI would describe the emulation of PSP and PS1 games on PS Vita as flawless yes, Based on my experience, which isn't huge to be fair. FFVII and FFVIII, Gran Turismo PSP, Super Stardust PSP, Lego Batman PSP, Resident Evil PS1, Silent Hill PS1, Vagrant Story, Warhammer 40k PSP, Sega Mega Drive Collection, Peace Walker. Ok, so quite a few I suppose. All ran great.
