I'm surprised no one voted for the second-hand unlock, or 'multi-user' code. So far I've purchased all of Platinum Games' titles second hand and I feel terrible for it. I'm actually going to get around to writing them a letter with some cash inside (the original RRP for the stuff I've got) for beers/pizzas. At least a multi-user would take some of the guilt away, and perhaps tally up how many unique sales the games have made.
I nearly did, I can see it being a compromise agreement ?5 activation or something retailers get to keep pre owned they would just sell for ?5 less and give ?5 less trade so in Game's case you would probably owe them ?3 extra for each game traded in assuming they just knock a fiver off their typical trade in offer

Apple is quite a topic in itself, they have the clout and brand power to quite easily wade into the gaming arena properly and yet don't which makes you wonder what exactly it is that's stopping them. Given their brand has just peaked and this gen is in the longest tailend ever they've arguably missed their best window to try.

Apple have tried to make several high profile attempts to get into games, the last major one was during Quake III, but none of them have had lasting impact. Aside from the App, which has changed gaming depending on who you ask!

I don't think Apple would ever release a traditional dedicated console, but if their Apple TV ever comes to fruition then I can imagine that will becoming a gaming device in its own right. That alone could be a threat to the big 3 console developers.
