Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag

This might be the first Assassin's Creed game to genuinely interest me in playing it upon release. You can't really go wrong with pirates in games. Hopefully the protagonist is a more interesting fellow this time around.

This does sound amazing, i absolutely love the pirate theme and being set in the Caribbean, i just really, really hope they have learned from AC3's serious flaws. I really hope the PS4/Nextbox is out in time for Xmas and this is one of the launch games because i really got the impression that current gen consoles were really rather stretched with AC3, at times the frame rate was awful.

AC3 was an incredible looking game, it will look sweet on PS4. But as that isn't going to turn up til next year, I'll be playing this current gen.

If PS4 does indeed turn out to be delayed then this could be more enjoyable on Wii U, one thing i found slightly annoying on Xbox was the need to keep pausing the game to go into the inventory and map etc, the Gamepad could make it ideal.

Apparently there are 4 versions of this. Will be the standard edition for me, as the extra tat is usually useless and the bonus missions always get released a month or so after release. I MAY be pushed to get the Skull Edition for the soundtrack, but that's dependent on price. Any more than ?8 from the standard and it's a no-go.

Ubisoft says the series does have an end. Though I'm sure that end means when the sales stop. It was also once a trilogy and also once going to stop being an annual release series.
