Have to say I wasn't that looking forward to this given the massive hype surrounding it and all, but it's pretty incredible for a ps3 game, the sort of production values only naughty dog have achieved so far. Frame rate is solid as a rock, great draw distances and fantastic art. Who needs a ps4 or xbone when stuff like this is still being released.

Now to play more and see where this is all going.

think im going to stop playing, not much more been added from the alpha, about 2 more story missions, only played 2 matches of MP this time so I don't know if thereis more than the 2 previous maps... they tease the moon and other MP modes but looks like we won't get access in this beta.

I would have liked to have seen a sneak peak of any kind of advance class as there really isn't much of a difference between the starting jobs, other than Dot's vs quick damage on the grenades.

Would of though after a decade of render reveals you'd know better than to trust what bungie show before and what's actually released. Going from the ps3 version I'd say it looks pretty good.

It's very nice with it's lighting in places etc, very current gen HD remaster quality but still good enough overall.

Having played the PS4 beta it looks like a very good current gen game ported to next gen, so having said that I think the Xbox One and PS4 versions will be pretty much on par.

I think I'm gonna go for the Xbox One version though, there's something not quite right playing a Bungie game on a PlayStation format, plus I have more friends on Xbox Live that I know in real outside life.

I'm gonna put more time into this when the Xbox beta starts ready for the character transfer (is this still happening?). 23rd of July is when Sony can stop pretending Destiny is a PlayStation exclusive.

I thought the exclusive thing for Sony was a timed bit of DLC. Like MarioMark I`m waiting on the Xbox One beta. Having played it on the PS4 I just want to see if it performs as well on the MS platform.

Does anyone know if we'll be able to transfer our character progress from the Beta to the final release? I won't be happy if I have to start from scratch when it finally comes out proper.

I have read from a few sources that this isn't confirmed and basically Bungie would like to offer something to those that have pre-ordered and played the beta but haven't announced anything. I would presume you'll lose your character/items rather than get too attached.

Bungie are being quite ambiguous with details, but you might want to at the very least log in sometime during the 26th July:

Yes - especially on the 26th. You want to be there for that day. Report for Beta testing duty at 2PM Pacific. Your rewards will be handsome and permanent.
