Consoles sold, PC rig built, recommend me some games...

I sold my ps3 last year and having finished everything I wanted to on the 360 that is up to sale as well. I have built a PC for general media duties but it is good enough for gaming so my question is what PC exclusives have I been missing. By the way the last time I had a gaming PC I was playing doom 3!!!!

There are a few cross platform games I may get and I want to tinker with dolphin emulation, but I am most interested in things I won't have seen on this gen of consoles.

Honestly, I don't think there's that much unless you look into indie stuff or older stuff.

I like how you're interesting in Wii emulation when you've just sold your consoles too.

Indie and older stuff is fine, and you cant play GameCube games on the 360 or ps3!

Commander Keen. Aliens Ate My Babysitter is often considered the classic, but Secret Of The Oracle is probably my favourite.

My votes go to No One Live Forever 2, Far Cry and Call of Duty.

Grab a copy of Arma II Combined Ops and download the Day Z mod.
Totally infuriating to play but unique.

DayZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, players follow a single goal: Survive by any mean necessary.

I'm waiting on the standalone client for DayZ. Look very fun though.

I am starting with hotline Miami, looks pretty good. I had forgotten the no one lives forever games, never played them so shall give them a go. Is the day z mod any good, it not The same as war z I take it?

You have so done the right thing.

Hotline Miami is cool, i'm also waiting for the standalone of Day Z though it is available in official form as a mod for Arma II on Steam now which makes things a lot easier I understand.

Join the scores of desperate survivors in the free Arma 2 DayZ Mod, the award-winning and massively popular persistent multiplayer mod for Arma 2: Combined Operations!

BUT ABOVE ALL GAMES......you need to get involved wit Chivalry, it's the most fun in years

Besiege castles and raid villages in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, a fast-paced medieval first person slasher with a focus on multiplayer battles

X3 series space sim along the lines of elite takes a lot of hours to get to but if you have the patience well worth it i now have a space fleet at my command (though supposedly the next game in the x series is due this year

Baldurs gate 2 my fav rpg looking a bit dated now though i think beamdog are updating it the same they did with 1

Skyrim with mods if your rig is up for it can be made to look far beyond what the console version is

Stalker series ...great games i have not played them for ages while there a bit unpolished still worth a try

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines vastly underated rpg with tons of unoffical patches out there has such a great atmosphere

homeworld 1,2 /sins of the solar empire / Genesis Rising....there are more space rts games but cannot remember the titles well worth checking out though

company of heroes possibly my fav rts as it has the satisfaction of a decent action game but unlike so many rts games it avoids the rush syndrome and encourages to keep troops alive

Hostile waters a hybrid rts action game (bit like carrier command)

                            Planetside 2
                            Civ5
                            Simcity (out Friday)
                            Torchlight I & II
                            Sins of a Solar Empire
                            Tribes : Ascend

In reality exclusives (for me) on the PC tend to only fall into a couple of categories, RTS and Sim style games. There are a couple of FPS games that are worth it though.

How could I forget Planetside 2! That's what online FPS PC gaming is about, consoles couldn't compete.
