I dunno David, seems like a nice deal with Link's Awakening, poster, music chest (which is also a cart holder) and nice packaging

I wasn't getting at anyone, just knowing that the retail game and Link's Awakening code can be bought for ?37 combined grates with me (and doesn't bode well for the future). Will be surprised if it is a A0 poster, that is pretty large and an uncommon size nowadays and it will have to be folded a lot of times to fit in to that box too.
Those chests will be going for a pretty penny on ebay within days of release for sure.

I may be looking at this the wrong way but something in me takes it as a huge positive sign. I guess I look at mobile games, free to play and the reliance on microtransactions that, to me, devalue not just games financially but the experience we get from them (who spends more than a minute before making up their mind about a free iOS game?). That many people still seem willing to drop ?50 for a premium gaming pack with extras that, even if not worth it in basic financial value, add to the fun and overall experience of getting and opening up a new physical game, well, that just seems good to me.

Yes you're probably right, just me being cynical, and knowing that X% will end up on ebay for a profit.

Well you're certainly not wrong on your last point and that's always unfortunate.

People are allowed to sell things on eBay. Whenever new Air Jordan's come out I buy four pairs. Three are for eBay where I at least double my money. I did it with an iPhone 5S too. It's easy money, and if people pay then why not.

You're just a dick with too much money!

Yeah. If things like this are in limited quantities and people are only buying to sell on at a higher price when unavailable, sure, people are allowed to do that of course but it's not exactly pleasant. Many things in life are allowed yet still dickish.

It's these very stores that have created this monster anyway. All of this pre-ordering for games months in advance of release. Making people panic that they won't get a Zelda branded spinning top and bag of walnuts or whatever tat it amounts to 99% of the time. You should just walk in and buy what you want like how we used to.

I know people who make their living doing this kind of thing. Buying supposed limited items and then flipping them for massive profits on eBay or Amazon etc. It's only unpleasant if you happen to be after one of these items and have to pay through the nose to get it. The demand outstrips the supply, so prices rice dramatically. Simple business.

Limited editions are limited to something like a million copies. That's not exactly limited in my book. Unless you NEVER EVER sell games, which is probably 1% of users here, there is zero point in buying limited editions IMO.

Not sure why they would remove something from stock which isn't physically manufactured yet - it was up for less than 4 days... :S

                                Wow!

I like to keep my carts in their cases myself - then I know where they are.
