Really hope they are taking this as seriously as they should, LttP is a truly special game.

News of this prompted me to watch the credit roll music again from the original. Still gets me.

      Here's a vid...

Looks good. They have a LOT to live up to with LttP but it does look good.

Glad to see another top down Zelda, thought it would never happen. It does look a little odd though. I would still love Majoras Mask 3D.

Looks...terrible. The graphics, I mean. Just as bad as the last two DS Fire Emblem games, this pre-rendered 3D sprite with not so great lighting/shading. Probably the game will be ace, but surely it looks bad.

I quite agree. Lttp is getting as close to a holy text as gamers get, so they can take as long as necessary to get it right.

Pretty sure this is as excited as I'll ever get without ending up being worried I'm pregnant afterwards.

Exactly my thoughts, I was excited till I saw the video. To me it looks like the cheap iOS knock offs you see.

This has just made my day. Forgot there was a Nintendo direct today, what i awesome surprise seeing Lttp 2 announced. And to those of you saying it looks rather awful are you guys seriously for real? It looks wonderful, full of colour and has that Zelda charm to it. The most important thing for me personally is that it plays like Lttp and is just as authentic to that experience as possible, looks came way after. One thing for sure this years E3 is should be epic with new games i just cannot wait for me details on.

Excited to see this coming at the end of the year. I always wished they did a true 3d remake on the WII U and a Majoras Mask remake on 3ds so when i initially saw they had made A Link To The Past sequel as a top down game for 3ds i was a tad disappointed but i'm still excited for it and in the video it certainly looks good. The fact that you can turn Link into a drawing to move across walls is an awesome touch! Plus i'm sure Majoras Mask 3ds will come in 2014/15

Reminds me of the DS games. Still haven't bothered with Spirit Tracks :/
