Yeah, i remember getting my mates big brothers super famicom along with metroid, area 88, smw, and street fighter 2 turbo...for christmas 1994

Talked my parents into getting me that 2nd hand instead of a new eu model.

All because i adored the boxes and art...

Best decision ever, and the start of proper import gaming really lol!

Walking into Telegames and seeing a Super Famicom for ?399 and Mario at ?150.

I was 17 at the time and skint, but managed to get one from one of the ads at the back of the mags. That was my first import machine, almost bought a PC Engine, at the time the PC Engine was on another level. I don't really remember the NES being that popular when I was a kid, people had the Atari 2600 and then went onto the Commadore 64 or CBS Colecovision if they stuck with consoles.
I had a coleco and a C64 but remember the adverts for the PC Engine and the Coleco Adam and I was blown away.

But I was too young to ever get one as I never had any money, got close and then bought something else, it was the S Famicom for me.

I couldn't get a cart for 3 weeks, next delivery of US Carts that had been ordered, so I bought a Super Pro Fighter off him so I could play it.
