I voted PS4 (yeah, I know surprise, surprise...) It just seems to have more things for a gamer to care about. Course it's still early days and I've generally bought every console on launch since the PS1 so...

Too much focus on multimedia for my liking, plus this always online, fee for 2nd hand games etc isn't really rubbing me up the right way.

At the end of the day announce Jet Force Gemini and Killer Instinct and I'm there though.

Are you really expecting Rare to develop anything else good?

Not really no, but there's always hope...

I must say that Microsoft surprised me with their announcement, I wasnt expecting it to be that bad. The system itself looks HUGE and ugly, the announcement video with the CG console looks great, but the photos of it in the flesh make it look cheap and tacky. The design is awful and it looks like a a VCR player. Dont expect MS situation in Japan to change anytime soon.

Add to that Kinect being required to even use the machine, having to pay a fee to use preowned games, no backwards compatibility and no transferring of XBLA games or DLC. Forza 5 looked ok but not as impressive as GT6 which is a PS3 game. An awful and confusing name. I cant think of many ways that MS could have made a bigger mess of this, but then again they havent announced a price yet so theres still a chance.

I had no interest at all in the system after having enough with the 360 and MS certainly hasnt changed my opinion. If I get a next gen system then it would be a PS4, mainly because of the Japanese dev support, but at the moment Im pretty content with my Wii U and going retro.

This console can honestly go and **** itself. Microsoft has taken way too much for granted on this one. It no longer seems to be a case of what they can do for you anymore it's all about how much bull**** you are going to have to put up with in order to play their games.
At least the playstation seems like it allows the customer a certain amount of freedom with the games they purchase. Still not enough though.
the locked out and insular way that gaming has become these days is all a bit on the miserable side in my opinion. Considering its an industry that is based on the concept of fun, I find it saddening how money grubbing and mean it has all become.
I will most likely buy a ps4 but for the first time in 25 years I will be skipping a major console.

It's an awkward one. I made the plan a while back to clear through my stuff and go out of my way to get PS4, WiiU and XBO as over the next fee years other priorities might arise that stop me from doing so, that way they're just done and out the way. The bad mojo on this has been circling for a while though and I'm struggling to see the light with it. Some sites are reporting E3 will announce nee game from Rare based on an old IP but I'm past caring, everythings a little tainted as I know we'll be forcefed DLC, Skype intergration and Kinect features.

But I also know what I'm like. I expect the system to me will be like the 360 over the last couple of years. Picking up three or four exclusives over the year but little else as the PS covers my bases much better.

I'm sure Forza 5 will be the key launch title too, but the series has been heavily farmed the last few years and I technically also have the option of Drive Club on PS4 which potentially is a bit different or GT6 which at least doesn't require several hundreds of pounds outlay.

In short, being realistic, I'll preorder one. But I'm not really anticipating it and I'm under no illusions that it will likely be a personal distant third of the three consoles... potentially for everyone too.

Not even a Martin Hollis/Dave Doak collaboration for Perfect Dark 2 would sway me.

Well, just done it. It's very early doors but I'm higher on the list than I am for the PS4 which means despite more window advertising and the in shop announcement yesterday preorders are initially going slower for Xbox One locally than their rival.

PS4 is much higher on my priority list. Undecided, but maybe down the line at some point - too many things revealed yesterday that really don't appeal: Mandatory Kinect, mandatory installs, internet requirement (okay it's not *always* on, but checking in every 24 hours it may as well be), essentially what amounts to 2nd hand lock-out - the games had better be good at E3.

Not interested. For for the first time ever a console has been announced which I genuinely felt wasn't even aimed at me. It was all about sports and military stuff and watching TV and sh*t instead of even playing games.

Lame. Lowest interest level I think I've ever felt for a new console. It's actually pretty sad. It feels much more like the ultimate Windows living room set top box than a game system. And I hate Windows. So that's really not doing it for me. I also hate sports, war, and TV.

I've been holding off on the Wii U but frankly the XBO announcement makes me want to run out and buy one right now. It will actually have, you know, games. That aren't set in stadiums or Middle Eastern war zones.

I'd love to think Sega are watching all this unfold with their finger hovering over the "Release Dreamcast 2" button.

Sega can't even afford to localise yakuza 5 so I doubt it

Imagine a world where a new console is released that gives you all of the convenience of accessing the internet when you want to and how you want to.

Imagine having the freedom of choice to purchase new software online and it install whilst you sleep or buy it from your local retailer and freely sell it on once you've completed the game.

Imagine an online gaming portal with no up front payments required where you can play against the worlds gamers

Imagine playing new experiences across two seperate screens straight out of the box without paying for expensive extra hardware

Imagine a format free of the serialised update sequels each year from the big companies most likely to force online passes on you

Imagine hardware you buy knowing its unlikely to falter every six months

Imagine a system small enough to be carried to a friends and no online connection mandatory

                              Imagine the future
                              Imagine the impossible
                              Imagine... Nintendo WiiU

Christ... they've even made WiiU easy to sound futuristic

I'm undecided on the new Xbox at present. Not really bothered about all the gripes people have. I just want to see some games that interest me. Simple as that.
