PTE44: Which 'One' '4' 'U'?

Updated tally is:
-28 people buying Playstation 4
-19 people buying Wii U
-11 people buying Xbox One
So many people this gen have mentionee prioritising 360 due to their friends list as one of the reasons for picking it first. If those friends get more scattered across formats in the early days will that contribute to a buying culture that MS might find hard to reverse?

Definitely an uninteresting launch line up from both parties imo. I was in the running to buy a PS4 this year but I think after games com it can wait until there is something more interesting on it.
Good news for the massive back catalog I have amassed on my PS3, Wii & 360. Still a few potentially great games to come too!

Nothing sticks out because there is nothing new here.
8-16bit - huge rise in detail with sophisticated graphics, sound.
16-32bit - leap to 3d.
32-128bit - vastly improved 3d, progressive images at high resolution, online, believable worlds.
128-HD - Huge resolution increase, better online infrastructure, cinematic quality visuals.
Hd-now - more power. Like a graphics card update.
Each gen before now has generally had something technically amazing. Some great looking games coming though.

Right now neither of the systems have a great deal that I couldn't play on my PS360, but given the choice I'd rather play the shiner version.
The promise of Halo further down the line and my overall familiarity with 360 makes the Xbox one an easy choice as the first machine I buy.
I'm thinking the Combo of Ps4/One will really leave my PC gathering dust, as it's exclusively indie games I play on it

My PS4 order is now locked in, Nov29th booked off work ( tho that is more to do with avoiding any trouble with the courier than for hype reasons)
Yes there is nothing new but I would be playing the same games on my current consoles anyway. Money is not a problem so the added SHINY is enough for me.

Happy with my PC+Nintendo (3DS XL/Wii U) combination.
Sony/MS can spin all the PR bull**** they want, but the PS4/X1 do absolutely nothing for me. I'm just not excited for them. All Sony/MS have got going for the PS4/X1 (and their consoles in general) are few exclusives. That's it. And even then, it's not enough for me to blow ?350/400 on their systems.
That ?750 for both systems (and that's minus games, peripherals, PSN/XBL subscriptions) i'd rather spend elsewhere.
The PC+Nintendo combination offers much, much more for me personally.

Xbox One, we'll see. I've said no up until now but it depends on launch day, must have exclusives.
And whether or not I get a free one from work.
