I added Siren: Blood Curse to my list.

Was it the first game to use the whole episode system with the previously/next episode scenes?

I recall playing the original on the PS2 and the British cast really threw you out of the experience and I didn't get far. Blood Curse being a re-imaging just worked so much better with some really great characters.

I was going to put Half-Life 2 in also but it came out in 2004 so doesn't qualify.

Only played it on the 360.

Vanquish really stood out to me, I had no idea I would like it so much. Most of the rest that I liked are either remakes of older gen games or arcade conversions by Sega. I enjoyed many games and spent quite a bit but not many really surprised me at their quality, I've probably become jaded. Really like Ridge Racer 6 and 7 but they seemed to go on forever and got very hard. Soul Calibur V was great, made up for 4 being a waste of money in my eyes, but I wish they had spent more time on it. Deadstorm Pirates was surprisingly better than Time Crisis 4.

Fair play mate, PS3 just has the superior games. IMO of course. TLOU and Uncharted are among the best games ever... And Ridge 7 was better then 6

Donkey Kong Country Returns - Puts New Super Mario Bros to shame
Super Mario Galaxy (shock horror) - Up there with the great Super Mario 64
Mario Kart DS - Still the best Mario Kart since the originals
Ridge Racers PSP - Graphics, 60FPS, Arcade perfect gameplay - on a handheld
LittleBigPlanet - Weird but ace
Zelda Skyward Sword - To think I hated this once! Still need to finish it though

I do think last generation was better, I could do a list without hardly thinking about it. Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube and Xbox all had better exclusives but that's for a different discussion.

This is really tough. Looking at all these lists it's really amazing to see how this console generation has many amazing titles. Honestly I have tons of titles on backlog. I haven't even played some of the 'best' like Uncharted or the Batman games. I don't even own an Uncharted game or hardly know what they are about - tried a few minutes at a friends'. I just got the 360 and playing tons of shmups now but so far this should be good enough for now. I've begun many games but these are the one's I remember being addicted to and finishing without pause - possibly even played twice.
