Mass Effect - Uncharted Worlds. The best piece of videogame music of its generation.
In Pursuit Of Greed was a DOS/PC game from the mid-ninties. I'd never heard of it but the soundtrack came recommended and is fantastic. A mixture of ambient synthesizer and '90s electronica/techno. This is the most suitable track for your request.
Red Zone on MD has some harder/dirty synth stuff.
Secret of Evermore: Menu Music - Lovely.
Metal Gear Solid had some good 'tension' music, albeit with military overtones.
Flashback on the SNES has some great atmospheric pieces, though sadly they are mostly very short and do not loop.
Fez has a lovely synthesized soundtrack.
Or just listen to any of the recent albums/EPs by Steve Moore. He is the new Vangelis, so I read.
